Steps to Book Pet Boarding For New Customers

Booking with us for the first time takes three steps and about ten minutes. Here is exactly what to expect, and what you will need on hand before you start.

Before You Start

Have these three things ready and the whole process goes quickly:

  • An email address — you will use it to create your account, and we will send your booking confirmation and reminders to it.
  • Your dog's vaccination records from your vet — you will upload these with the registration form. The record needs to show the clinic name, your name, your dog's name, which vaccinations were given, the dates given and the due dates. Booklet-style records are not accepted.
  • A few minutes per dog — each dog needs their own registration form, so if you are booking for two dogs you will complete two forms.

Step 1: Create an Account

Create an account for your first booking. You will use the same account for every booking after that, and it is where you can view your dog's upcoming and past stays at any time.

Step 2: Submit Your Dog's Registration Form

The registration form tells us everything we need to care for your dog properly — feeding, medication, behaviour around other dogs, and your vet's details. You only need to complete it once. It stays on file for every future booking, and you can update it any time from your account.

One form per dog. If you are boarding two dogs, please submit two separate forms so each dog has their own record.

Vaccinations

All dogs must be vaccinated before boarding with us. The form is where you upload proof. We require:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza — given in a single vaccination, usually labelled DAPP, DHPP or DA2P
  • Bordetella — also known as kennel cough

We also recommend, but do not require, leptospirosis vaccination along with flea, tick and heartworm prevention. You can read the full details on our kennel requirements page.

What happens next

We review every form once it comes in. If anything is missing or a vaccination record needs a second look, we will email you — so keep an eye on your inbox. You do not need to wait for approval before booking your dates.

Step 3: Book Your Boarding Dates

Choosing the right option for your dog

When you book, you will choose a service option based on how your dog is around other dogs and whether they need any extra care. Getting this right matters — it determines where your dog stays and how our team looks after them, so it is worth two minutes before you book. Each option has a checklist, and every point on it needs to be true for your dog.

A note on timing

You are welcome to book before your registration form is in — plenty of customers do, and spots fill up quickly over the holidays and through the summer.

If you do book ahead, please check that your dog's vaccinations are current through to the end of your stay. We are not able to accept a dog whose vaccinations have lapsed, and the last thing we want is to turn anyone away at the door with travel plans already made. If anything is coming due, it is worth booking a vet visit now rather than the week you leave.

Booking Protection

When you book, you will be offered Booking Protection. It lets you move your booking to different dates, or cancel for a full refund, up to 6 PM the day before drop-off. It is worth considering if you are booking well in advance, since plans change and vaccinations sometimes need sorting out first. Without it, bookings are non-refundable and the dates cannot be changed. You can read the details in our refund policy.

Booking Confirmation

As soon as you book, you will receive an email confirming your dates and booking number. You can also log in to your account at any time to see your bookings, check your dog's details and update the registration form.

Two days before drop-off, we will email you again with everything you need for the stay — your drop-off and pick-up times, what to bring, and your dog's details as we have them on file. If a vaccination is close to expiring or something is missing from the form, that email will flag it, so there are no surprises on the day.
