Long-Term Dog Boarding (30+ Nights)
How to book
- Fewer than 30 nights? This rate is for 30 nights or more — book regular boarding instead.
- First time here? You'll need an account and a registration form for each dog — start with the new-customer page.
- Pick your drop-off and pick-up dates on the calendar.
- Choose how many dogs, which of the four service types fits, and whether you'd like email updates.
- Add to cart and check out. You'll get a confirmation by email.
Planning a long stay? Call 613-276-5074 or email us — food, vaccinations and vet contact are easier to sort out before you leave than after.
Away for a month or more? Long-term boarding is the same stay as our regular boarding — same enclosure, same day outside, same staff reading your dog — at a lower nightly rate for stays of 30 nights or more.
- Owner-run since 2019. Patrick and Chandra are at the kennel every day.
- Every staff member is trained in canine first aid.
- One price, no upcharges. Play time, walks and attention are all included.
Questions first? Call 613-276-5074 or email us — long stays are worth a conversation, and we're glad to have it.
What it costs
Under 30 nights? Book on the regular boarding page — this rate only applies to stays of 30 nights or more.
Email updates during the stay are an option when you book — every other day, or every day. Prefer just a few over a long stay? Use the email update option instead.
What a long stay is like
Every day runs the same way as a regular boarding day: out first thing, breakfast and any medications, then outside with a matched group or on their own, a midday rest in their own enclosure, dinner in the afternoon, back out until bedtime, then lights down and soft music. Read the full day here.
What changes over a long stay is how well we get to know your dog. By the second week we know who they like, when they want to rest, how they eat and what settles them — and the day bends to that. Staff are with the dogs all day, watching and reading them; a dog who has had enough comes in to rest, a dog who wants more gets it. Long-stay dogs tend to become the regulars the staff look for first in the morning.
Where your dog sleeps
Their own enclosure — not a crate. 5 by 8 feet inside, temperature-controlled, with a raised Kuranda bed sized to the dog, and a private covered outdoor run of 5 by 12 feet. If you like, bring a machine-washable towel or blanket that smells of home.
Food, medication and health
Bring your dog's own food for the stay — for a month or more, that's a lot of food, so we can arrange for you to drop off more partway through, or talk to us about ordering it in. Medications run on their schedule, and we always call you (or your emergency contact) before giving first aid or changing food. Vaccinations need to be current through the end of the stay; if something comes due while your dog is with us, tell us before you go and we'll work it out.
Four kinds of stay
Same four as regular boarding — plays well with other dogs, doesn't play well, special care, and bite risk — and the same rules for choosing between them. Read how each one works, or call us and we'll work out the right one together.
First time with us?
Before a long stay, we recommend a short one — a night or two — so your dog knows the place and we know your dog. New here? Our new boarding customer page walks through the account, the registration form, and what to bring.
Questions people ask about long stays
How long can my dog stay?
As long as you need. Thirty nights is the minimum for this rate; there's no maximum. For stays beyond a few months, call us first so we can plan food, vaccinations and vet contact together.
Can I get updates during the stay?
Yes — choose email updates every other day or every day when you book, or use the single email update option for a few over the stay. We can also arrange a call if you're somewhere email is awkward.
What if my dog needs a vet while I'm away?
We call you, or your emergency contact, before anything beyond first aid. Your vet's details are on the registration form, and we'll take your dog to them or to the nearest emergency clinic if it can't wait.
Can someone else pick up or visit my dog?
Yes, if you've named them on the registration form or told us in writing. We don't release a dog to anyone else.
What are drop-off and pick-up times?
Two windows a day, and you can drop off or pick up in either. Weekdays 7:00–8:45 AM and 4:00–5:45 PM; weekends and holidays 8:00–8:45 AM and 5:00–5:45 PM.
