Dog Daycare - Steps to Start Your Dog's Daycare Journey

Thank you for choosing us for your dog's daycare. Getting started takes three steps and about ten minutes. Here is what to expect, and what you will need on hand before you begin.
Steps to Begin Your Daycare Journey
Before You Start
Have these three things ready and the whole process goes quickly:
- An email address — you will use it to create your account, and we will send your booking confirmation and reminders to it.
- Your dog's vaccination records from your vet — you will upload these with the registration form. The record needs to show the clinic name, your name, your dog's name, which vaccinations were given, the dates given and the due dates. Booklet-style records are not accepted.
- A few minutes per dog — each dog needs their own registration form, so if you have two dogs you will complete two forms.
Step 1: Create an Account
Create a website account to book your dog with us. You will use the same account for every booking after that, and it is where you can view your dog's upcoming and past days at any time.
Step 2: Submit Your Dog's Registration Form
The registration form tells us everything we need to look after your dog properly — feeding, medication, how they are around other dogs, and your vet's details. You only need to complete it once. It stays on file for every future booking and can be updated any time from your account, so a new form is never required for later visits.
One form per dog, and the same form covers both daycare and boarding — there is no separate form if you decide to board with us later.
Vaccinations
All dogs must be vaccinated before attending daycare. The form is where you upload proof. We require:
- Rabies
- Distemper, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza — given in a single vaccination, usually labelled DAPP, DHPP or DA2P
- Bordetella — also known as kennel cough
We also recommend, but do not require, leptospirosis vaccination along with flea, tick and heartworm prevention. The full details are on our kennel requirements page.
Because daycare tends to be an ongoing arrangement rather than a one-off, it is worth keeping an eye on your dog's due dates. We are not able to accept a dog whose vaccinations have lapsed, and we would much rather flag it early than turn anyone away at the door. We will email you when something is coming due.
What happens next
We review every form once it comes in. If anything is missing or a record needs a second look, we will email you — so keep an eye on your inbox.
Step 3: Book Your Daycare Trial Day
Every dog starts with a trial day. It is a normal daycare day, and it gives us a chance to meet your dog properly before they join the group regularly.
What happens on the day
Our team spends time with your dog one-on-one first, then introduces them to the other dogs gradually. We are looking at how they settle in, how they greet, and how they handle the noise and energy of a busy room.
The trial is designed for dogs who are already comfortable and social around other dogs — it confirms that our particular environment suits them, rather than testing whether your dog enjoys company in the first place. If you are not sure how your dog is with other dogs, get in touch before booking and we will talk it through with you.
At the end of the day we will let you know how they got on. Most dogs settle in beautifully and go straight onto our regular daycare list. Very occasionally a dog turns out to be happier somewhere quieter than a busy daycare room, and if that is the case we will tell you gently and honestly, and point you toward what we think would suit them better.
Booking Protection
When you book, you will be offered Booking Protection. It lets you move your booking to a different date, or cancel for a full refund, up to 6 PM the day before. It applies to the trial day and to regular daycare days alike, and it is worth considering if you are booking ahead. Without it, bookings are non-refundable and the date cannot be changed. After the Trial Day
Once your dog has done their trial, you can book daycare days whenever you need them, straight from your account. There is nothing else to complete.
Booking at short notice
Daycare usually has room, so last-minute days are often no trouble at all. If the day you want does show as full, use the waitlist button on the booking calendar rather than giving up on it. Plans change frequently and spots open up regularly, often the day before — the waitlist is how we reach you when one does.
