Dog boarding
We brought our 1 year old doberman, Nike, to Patrick and Chandra, because she would began to react negatively (barking and biting) in new situations. She’s a very high energy dog and despite having dogs in the past, it was clear that we made some mistakes early along the way with understanding her issues ourselves. Working with other trainers had mixed results because it didn’t seem like any of them really took the time to get to understand what were the underlying issues with her. The fact that they take her in for 24 hours to just get to learn what she’s all about is all I wanted someone to do. Some Trainers are always so confidently telling you what to do and not to do without really observing your dog closely. For Nike, we really just needed to hit the reset button and get her back to a more stable foundation to build on. There is still lots of work for us to keep doing, but this gave is the restart we needed to help build her back up to being a confident dog again. Since picking her up and bringing her home from board and train we don’t feel we have to worry about her reactions. She’s more confident and It feels like we’re back to just focusing on the fundamentals, working on proactive training again and not defensive reactions to her issues - which was what we really needed. The other thing that’s been really great is the follow ups with phone support. It’s assuring to have them to talk to even after we brought her home to make sure we’re staying the course and continuing to do the right things - or even talk to someone about new things we want to teach her and how to approach it with someone that knows our dog well.
Highly impressed by the training program provided by Patrick and Chandra. Their knowledge, passion and commitment to a successful training (for dog and owners) is outstanding. We had used the boarding service initially when going out of town for several days when our German Shepherd pup needed care. When we brought him back home after that first experience, he was notably a different (and improved) dog. We were amazed and in disbelief. When struggling with disobedience over the next several months at home, we decided to reach out to the Kennel Club about seeking training – both for us and the dog. We had dogs previously, but not a German Shepherd breed and despite reading training books and watching videos on-line, we were not effective or confident in handling Kaiser. We signed him up for 3 weeks of the board and train program. We visited periodically to see Kaiser and get updates from Patrick/Chandra on his progress; they also took the time to provide training advice to us to ensure we could maintain the consistency in training when transitioning back home. With his vast knowledge of this breed, Patrick explained the scientific background and effective training methods and also fine tuned the training, specific to Kaiser’s personality and ours. He knows his stuff and didn’t mind devoting the time in his very busy schedule to talk with us and teach us. It was very clear from our meetings, that a lot of time, effort, passion and commitment were poured into the training. The positive, effective results were seen and Patrick continues to be an ongoing support for us.
Patrick and Chandra are professional, calm, patient and very conscientious dog trainers. My private training sessions with them have made a world of difference in my confidence and ability to properly handle my German Shepherd puppy. I am eternally grateful for what they have taught me and continue to teach me, especially when I felt completely overwhelmed. They are very responsive and always willing to give their time over and above. For them success is happy dogs, happy owners. I’m also completely relieved to know I have a wonderful place to bring my dog where he is well exercised and cared for throughout the day at their Doggie Daycare and Boarding Kennel. My dog loves being there!
Our dog has been going for daycare once a week for the past few months and one overnight stay. He is always excited to get to Kennel Club Boarding and comes home exhausted after a full day of playing! Patrick and Chandra are very professional and the care and attention they have for the dogs is clear. They have also been wonderfully flexible and accommodating. I had to cancel my puppies first reservation because of an unforeseen circumstance and they allowed me to cancel and use my credit at a later date or have a refund, despite me calling the night before to cancel. I'm happy to have found such a wonderful to send our dog to daycare or when we are away!
Kennel Club Boarding has been absolutely amazing for us. We needed some help with our latest addition, an 8 month old mix breed from a rescue, with a bit too much energy and some bad habits. We tried some of the box stores and they were essentially useless. Patrick and Chandra were patient, professional and really know what they’re talking about. We loved it so much we started having our pup come by regularly and even for a few overnights. I can’t say enough great things about KCB but if you’re looking for a safe place that’s run by folks who know their stuff and care check them out!
This was the best investment we ever made. We sent our dog for a Board and train. Our dog was super anxious and was biting everyone, barking at everything , launching, etc. We hired 2 trainers and nothing changed. We were absolutely discourage and with kids coming to our house it was unmanageable. That was our last resort and it was the best place we could ever found. I told everyone that Kennel Club Boarding save our dog. We now have a nice balanced dog how seems such much happier. I would never thank them enough. Simply the best!! Eve
It’s always a little scary leaving your fur baby with someone else, but there’s no one else I trust more than Patrick and Chandra! They genuinely care about the well-being and experience that their doggy guests have while staying at Kennel Club Boarding. Our girl had an amazing time staying with them. The play time she has had with the other dogs at Kennel Club Boarding has become a wonderful option for safely socializing our puppy during the pandemic. We will definitely be making visits to Kennel Club Boarding a regular thing!
My reactive Aussie Cattle dog has been boarded 6 times throughout USA and Canada. I have never felt more calm and confident when dropping my dog off at Kennel Club. There team is effective and professional, correcting me on the small things that made my dog act very comfortable. The facilities are clean and on a great country side just outside of Ottawa. My dog usually wears a muzzle due to unwanted head petting by strangers. But not to worry as this team knows there way around dogs. Would recommend them 1000 times a day!
I was very particular as to where I wanted to board my dog when travelling. Finding Patrick and Chandra was fantastic. From the first tour to the overnights for my dog, I was extremely impressed by their understanding of each dog’s needs as well as exhibiting a calmness and genuine love of dogs. So glad to have found them, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for either day or boarding camp. Seeing Charley happy to see Chandra when we arrive is indicative of the level of comfort she has…which really is critical.
Our two dogs enjoyed their recent weekend stay at Kennel Club Boarding. We love that they were free to play all day in the large indoor play room. Kennel Club Boarding is located on a beautiful country property just minutes from Barrhaven. The huge outdoor play yards are in a quiet location surrounded by trees. Both of our dogs felt comfortable right away with the owners. Patrick and Chandra were very accommodating of our last minute travel plans. We will definitely be back!
We were in need of our puppy to have some training, the Kennel Club Boarding was highly recommended, because of their wealth of knowledge for dogs. We sent our puppy for an overnight assessment, which I was nervous leaving my baby, but as soon as we meet owners Patrick and Chandra. I could feel they were a home away from home, their love for dogs is evident, I was quickly put at ease. I look forward to continuing the training at Kennel Club Boarding.
Love this place. My pup loves it whenever we pull in the parking lot and I'm always confident she'll have lots of fun during the day. Pat and Chandra are very knowledgeable (they've given me lots of tips and tricks as I'm a new German Shepherd owner). The way Shiraz gives them kisses when I leave is a testament to the way they take care for the dogs they board. Booking is convenient and the price for a day's "day care" is great. Highly recommend.
Had our 4 year old male St. Bernard attend the Board and Train program. One week post training and the difference is unbelievable. He is calm and is not attacking any nearby dogs or people. He is affectionate and happy. No other training facility was able to handle such a large aggressive dog. Can't say thank you enough. We are keeping up the work and following up with Patrick and Chandra for any tips.
Sent my husky (Qilin) there couple times already and have nothing bad to say so far. Respectable prices, close to my house, big playpen for the dogs with huge land for dog walks, friendly staff. I only do boarding now and my boy is always tired after his stay there, which is good because I usually walk him between 3 to 5 hours every day. :)
The kennel club is an amazing , happy and safe place for our dog Ollie. Chandra and Patrick and there’s staff understand dogs and show them loads of affection and direction. Ollie is always excited when she sees us turn into their driveway. Ollie has high energy and this is the perfect place for her to play it out.
This is a wonderful boarding/day care for our dog. Our dog is always excited to go there, gets plenty of exercise in the amazing outdoor space and Chandra and Patrick are very knowledgeable and caring and willing to accommodate my always changing boarding/day care needs.
Very friendly and immense dog knowledge under their belt. It's a beautiful and stress free place for any pet. Beautiful trails that they exercise the dogs on too :) Thor loved his bath they gave him and he smelled so good. I will always board here :)
If I could give 10 stars I would! Patrick and Chandra are superstars, they have helped Nula so much with boarding, training and daycare. She loves going there and always comes home happy and exhausted. I cannot recommend them enough.
I have a labernese puppy and he absolutely loved it at Kennelclub boarding! They sent us pictures showing that he was having a great time playing with other dogs! This is why we will be bringing him back this month! 😊

Kennel Club has helped my reactive dog become more tolerant of other dogs. She still has a long way to go, but we couldn’t have made the progress we have without their knowledge and help!
Our bulldog Henry just had his first one week stay at Kennel Club and it went amazing , Henry has also been going to doggie daycare once a week which is also fantastic - High recommended
Great service. Booking the dog boarding service then cancelling it in a very short notice due to trip cancelled, no issues at all.
Dog daycare
I am so happy I found this place. I have a Shepard mix rescue that I adopted 15 months ago who had a rough start in life. They worked with me in coordination with the training I was doing at home to introduce her slowly to other dogs. Today she is a super sweet, affectionate and very happy dog who has learned the art of play. A big part of that is the great care that they give her every time she goes there. I never worry about her when she is there for daycare or overnight. I highly recommend them Peggy
My puppy loves Pat and Chandra. She loves going to daycare and comes home happily tired every single time. Since she has started attending we've noticed a huge improvement in her typical puppy behaviours at home. (nipping, jumping) We always get a well behaved, tired puppy after a day with her friends. (2 and 4 legged)
My girls love the doggy daycare here. They are always super happy to go and never hesitate or look upset upon arrival. The staff and owners are super caring and loving. They are all dog lovers and treat the dogs like they are their own
My year old German shepherd Gemma has been to daycare once a week for the past few weeks. She was nervous at first, but loves it when she gets there. Always comes home happy, and tired!

Great place and professional, reliable owners. We've been sending our dog for a day trip few times in the past 2 weeks and our dog loves it. They have a huge outdoor secured and fenced play area for dogs to run around all day! We will keep on sending our dog there for sure.
